SETTING THE STAGE
BRIEF
Design an effective iPhone application and poster that communicates an intended message to the viewer, maintains readability, and is of high aesthetic quality. This project will address effective use and implementation of a grid system and visual hierarchy. Choose your topic from: Social, Political, or Environmental issues.
CHOSEN TOPIC
I chose to focus on toting education among young adults because I felt like I was lacking in accurate information. It is very challenging to get unbiased information surrounding political candidates and this app allows for users to get all of their political information in one place.
CLIMAX
CHALLENGE
The main challenge I faced was presenting the essential information in a way that felt digestible. There was so much information that would be valuable for young adults navigating the election but I also had to consider their attention span and ensure the content remained engaging.
SOLUTION
The most impactful tool I designed was the side-by-side comparison of candidates. With so much biased information flooding our timelines daily, we rarely see direct comparisons. This feature allows users to select a candidate and view their positions on key issues. From there, users can dive deeper into a candidate’s profile to explore their policies, approval ratings, and recent news.
